- Paul Mengert, as President of Association Management Group, has seen volunteers be the difference in happy communities. If you are a member of a community association and you care about the value of your home or property, then you ought to want to take good care of it and the surroundings. Associations are charged with maintaining the value of the properties involved, so it makes sense that you as a member might be interested in helping them as well.

Paul Mengert Built AMG to Be About Education and Training
October 27, 2018One major reason Paul Mengert, who happens to be the CEO of Association Management Group (AMG), founded his esteemed firm in 1984 based on his life in service to both education and community. His commitment to the community in which he was born and raised led him to establish the firm in Greensboro, North Carolina. That is where he majored in both Political Science and Communications at the University of North Carolina and where he has taught numerous courses in his role as part of a Management Development Program for Harvard Business School Alumni Association of nearby Charlotte, North Carolina.
In addition to his work with AMG, teaching courses designed to make homeowners’ associations staff better, Paul Mengert has also taught courses as a member of the national senior faculty for the Community Associations Institute for years. The classes he teaches are good enough to provide realtors with continuing education credits that are honored by groups like the South Carolina and North Carolina Departments of Real Estate, the California Department of Real Estate and the Florida Bureau of Condominiums, among many others.
